My personal razor is: For something to be true, it must be true in all places and at all scales.

This also means any theory or condition that is "special" simply means "I don't understand" or "waiting to be proven wrong".

Considering literally every aspect of dark energy/matter, hypotheses on the early universe through BB, and disagreements between quantum and classical mechanics are all attributed to "special" considerations, scale, or yet unverifiable "new" science, I am surprised how much traction they have with serious scientists. With newer and better resolution observations over the last century, I believe the existing lab-proven proven theories that support every verifiably true thing we know can still be leveraged to intuitively explain a lot of these questions!
